Biography

As the coordinator for Columbus State University's Physical Activity and Wellness program, Erick Richman aims to encourage students to find fun in their exercise, joy in their present abilities, and success in their personal goals through a scientific understanding of human physiology, psychology, and biomechanics. He earned his M.S. in Exercise Science here at Columbus State University, and holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential. He performed his thesis research on the effects of soft-tissue mobilization techniques on the performance of volleyball and basketball players, and published this research in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. His favorite quotes include "Fitness is one's ability to do a task" and "obstacles in life are not in your way, they are your way."
