Cheryl Johnson The MPAH program at CSU afforded me the opportunity to excel on my career path. While working full-time at the Columbus Health Department as a Health Educator, I pursued my MPAH; upon graduating, I was able to transition into the position of Public Information Officer for the West Central Health District. While there I was recruited by Lockheed Martin to work as a contractor for the Center's for Disease Control as a Health Communication Specialist, this was my dream job. Without my MPAH degree, I am confident I would not have had the opportunity to work in both rewarding jobs. Currently I am the Executive Director with the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition, in the non-profit world, this degree allows you to utilize all of the classes within the curriculum. My path to success can be attributed to the wonderful teachers and the outstanding MPAH program at CSU. The flexibility of the program was great. I can't sing enough praises about this program and am truly thankful and invite anyone who would like to pursue their MPAH, to try CSU.

Andrea S. Hawkins The Health Science program at Columbus State University is the foundation of my career in public health. The program provided me with the tools that became instrumental for my career as a Health Educator for a non-profit organization and a Community Support Worker for the State of Georgia. With the support of very knowledgeable staff, I exceeded my personal expectations by continuing to reach the bar that the professors set forth. I'm currently pursuing my MPH so that I can be a positive influence to others just as the professors were to me."

Katy Bridges I graduated with a degree in Health Science from CSU in December 2008. During the course of my studies, I gained a thorough knowledge of public health and education. I have just started my new career as a Kinship Care and Caregiver Specialist at the Area Agency on Aging. An essential tool that helped me obtain this job was my professional portfolio, which I created in a course titled 'Method/Materials in Health Education.' During the interview process, not only did my professional portfolio serve as a reference guide for me, it also highlighted my area of studies in an organized manner.

I cannot express my appreciation enough to the staff of professionals teaching the Health Science program at Columbus State University."
